Okay, so since yesterday I was focusing more on grabbing your attention and less on who Lis is, today I figured that I'd talk a bit about myself. I'm going to tell you a little about me.
Lifestyle Tuesday! I'm gonna give you all a small peek into my home life, as well as what I do on a daily basis and some of the activities that I indulge in! Now, I'm not super interesting or anything, but I try to keep myself preoccupied. Currently, I am living in a small country town in northern Florida. I live in a humble apartment with my boyfriend of almost two years! This is our first apartment together and we're doing just fine, although life can get a little hectic we try to keep the drama to a minimum. Although, being a girl sometimes I just can't help myself, I think much to my boyfriend's dismay.
I like art. I like fashion. I like fitness.
I have a random collection of things that I have accumulated over the years from thrift shops, gifts, and hand me downs. I don't think that I have ever felt at home somewhere as I do in this little place with Joshua. Indulging in art is one of my most favorite things to do, drawing and painting primarily, although I have found that clay modeling, sewing and taking pictures is fun to. I'm also trying to get into music. Joshua is in a very talented band and he and myself have been attempting to make music together even though the going is slow.
Fitness is also one of my interests. I'm not a calorie counter or anything, but I do believe a protein and vitamin rich diet can not only improve your physical well being, but your mental well being as well! I think that a healthy balance of relaxation and exercise can make for a happy human being all around. Joshua and I like going for frequent bike rides in the afternoon and on the weekends. I have a small exercise routine that I keep up with three to four days a week. Who says you need weights and a gym membership to get a hefty workout? I wish that I had weights though. I do a combination of cardiovascular workouts, along with body lifts to get a good sweat going.
(Our gorgeous view of the dumpster)
I have also been trying to get into gardening... I have already killed half of the baby plants that I managed to get to sprout up! I don't know if you can tell in the picture above, but next to the parrot, there are some solo cups on my patio! I have been growing Morning Glories, and lucky for me they seem to be a hearty plant needing little or no care. I'm especially tickled that the morning glories are growing because I plan to put up some lattice for them to grow on so that I don't have to look at that damn dumpster every time I peek out the window. Then maybe we could also put a nice rug out there and get a small patio furniture set so that we could enjoy our patio to the full extent, when the weather cools down a little bit of course.
