Day 18: Fitness!

I tried Pilates for the first time last week.

     I decided that it could be fun for me to exercise with someone rather than doing it alone ever day because I'm gonna do it anyway, and it's not like we'd just be idly hanging out. So I asked my brother's girlfriend Shelly if she would like to work out with me sometimes. And guess what? She came over last Wednesday and we had a great time working out together! I mean, yes, we also had a little girl talk time but it was called for.

     What exactly is Pilates? That's what I asked Shelly, I took a guess and said "It's like moving yoga right?". That was more or less the answer. Pilates is a series of endurance and toning movements that are, from what I can gather, based off of traditional yoga stances. I found it very invigorating and challenging to say the least. The video that we followed was only at a beginner's level but I can't wait to do it with her again.
