Who cares about fall hues... I want a spookie lookie!

     I decided that along with my fall look that I posted up, it would be appropriate to also post a look specifically aimed at being a Halloween themed look! This is my shot at that!

     Since Halloween has many different themes in itself I though that it would be fun to shake up this month's fashion themes. Instead of posting up just a look each look will be influenced by a specific idea. Today's look is inspired by...

WITCHES

     Okay, so when you picture a typical witch in your mind, what do you see? Usually, green skin, black robes and a very large pointed hat... I have none of these elements in my wardrobe, luckily. However, I can get a little creative with color, textures and specially selected pieces in order to execute the theme efficiently.

     I really wanted to put some green or some purple in this look... But instead I went with edgy as I so often do. I thought that the black and white stripes gave nice homage to a witchy look along with the black stockings. I was going to wear boots with this, but I thought that the sparkle flats softened the look a little bit. I love love love my faux leather skirt! I can use this in just about any look... I would wear it every day if I thought it wouldn't ruin the fibers. I am wearing the black cardigan that I also wore in the school girl look. The one with the blue and white striped undershirt.

     I almost did this look from an "earth child" point of view; leaning towards the idea that early witches were more like hippies that praised the earth with flowers in their hair. Buuut that's not as spooky as all black. So it was no contest.
