Halloween Pics/1st day of November

I had such a great month celebrating!

Technically this is both Josh's and my fist Halloween alone away from home... It was so enjoyable. The month was packed with scary movies, treats and decorations!

While we didn't exactly go trick-or-treating, we did manage to get some candy! Our bikes dawned with glow in the dark jewelry in the spokes, we set off into the night to get a good look at all of the kids and the great decorations. While riding around and checking out all of the scenes, our friend that rode with Josh and I, Tj, found an entire bag of candy that someone dropped! Don't worry, we inspected it before partaking.

I felt that we were to old this year to ask for candy so this felt like a well earned treat.

These were the masks that we wore! Not exactly costumes, but they seemed effective enough.

After all of the excitement  I put on my Halloween socks to settle in for the night... I really need to shave.

We simmered down and watched A Nightmare Before Christmas, the perfect Halloween flick and turned out the lights, lit the decorations and candles and relaxed for a final holiday hoorah.

I had so much fun this year, I'm a little sad to see it go, but I'm satisfied... Now we get to endure the rush of Christmas and Thanksgiving! Here we go and wish us luck!

Happy Halloween!!!

All Hallow's Eve is Nigh!
I'm not doing anything special for this post, just wishing you a spooktacualar Halloween!
I hope that everyone finds themselves filled with the fears of the ages tonight when they go out spooking... And beware of the full moon... Because you never know what you might encounter on the night of the dead...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Haunted Cookies!

I wanted to make a creepy treat along with the "Halloweenies"

We got some instant cookies, along with some sprinkles and icing and tada! Halloween cookies!
I think Josh really liked helping me make these... He especially liked eating them!

Pumpkin Carving!

The Best Gooey, Slimy Halloween Fun

We did it! We carved pumpkins! One for me and one for Josh.

At this point he was more interested in the news than carving a pumpkin! Only Josh.

Well, we had fun carving them and they looked super spooky sitting by the television. They'll look even better outside on Halloween night!

"Halloweenies"

Making Halloween Themed foods is an easy feat.

Yep, I made literal "Halloweenies" for Josh and I to eat for dinner the other night! It's just a simple little meal, probably meant for children... But I didn't feel at all like making spaghetti, so we went with this instead. And, this was a meal that Joshua could also help me make!

All you need is crescents in a tube and brats, we got the cheddar kind, yum yum.

Basically all you do is cut the crescents into strips and then wrap them around the brats to create a creepy mummy wrap and viola!

You've got yourself an easy and very yummy dinner for under 10$ that only took about 20 minutes to make.

Spookie Lookie

This week we're back to being spooky...

Instead of doing another look that was based more on costume than a scary monster... I am going scary monster inspired on this one. And what could be more scarier than a demon? Not much, I mean demons are usually portrayed as shiny red guys, that carry pitchforks and have tails and horns. But it's the idea that they're going to stab you with a pitchfork for all eternity that really gets people, I think.

DEMON

I don't know... I thought it would be funny if the demon theme had wintry clothes in it... Because Hell is hot and all. So, I've got my faux leather leggings and a sheer blouse blouse on. The blouse has my favorite, red velvet on the button lining and red velvet on the collar! I also am wearing just a plain black scarf warp.

I wish that the outfits that I have been putting together were more costume-y  but hello, I'm only working with regular clothes. These themes are just meant to inspirations really... Not so much costume ideas.

Decorating for the Fall Season

Fall Gourds

One of my very favorite parts of fall is that you can decorate easily by utilizing one of natures very unique fall foliage. Gourds not only are very delicious to eat most of the time, but they offer a great festive feeling during this time of year. Gourds are also wonderful at keeping, so you can purchase a few and keep them around for months until Christmas!

During a grocery shopping trip with Joshua, he treated me with a small bag of gourds to decorate the house with! I think he likes decorations as much as I do, even if he wont admit it.

Of course, I immediately began the task of placing them throughout our living area. I love how lumpy and knobby some of them are, as well as the strange coloration.

The sack came with a few different variations as well as some great mini pumpkins!

I also collected just a few small acorns to add to the theme.

I imagine that somehow some of these gourds were engineered to have specific colors and patterns, but whose to say?

I can't wait to get the most important gourd of all... Our pumpkins! :D We are definitely going to carve 'em up.

Cute Cat Ears!

I found this really kawaii hairstyle online...

I saw this online while actually looking up how to make cat ears out of your hair after thinking about making bows with your own hair... I thought that it would be super cute to have little ears on your head that were made out of your very own hair!

This girl is so, so cute! I also really like the guy doing her hair, he seems very friendly and experienced in what he does.

Maybe if you're doing a sweet kitty costume for Halloween this would be fun to try! It seems easy enough... I was thinking that I would try it to test out the difficulty level. It seems to be easy enough to do.

Tease. Tease. Tease.
