Joshua got me this awesome shirt a few weeks ago and I think it rocks. It's a little different from what I normally wear, but I am happy with the look! I don't really like how the shorts look though, come to think of it...
Why do my lips look so white here... I look like I have been rubbing coke on my teeth.
arawn: what is the most terrifying thing that you have ever done? I am one of those people that tries to avoid all danger like the plague at all costs... So I have never done anything that dangerous. This is terrible to admit, but the most dangerous thing (in my opinion) that I have ever done is riding in the car with a drunk driver. I am not proud of that and I do not condone drunk driving, whatsoever.
No seriously. Take some vitamins. I can't stress enough how important preventative health care is... And in a nation that hails the burger and fries as it's master (don't kill me, I like fries) it seems that preventing illness gets put on the back burner all too often.
Along with eating healthy and working out, you should add vitamins to your daily health care routine. Of course no one likes to take a handful of icky pills, but when eating healthy can get pretty expensive, it can't hurt to bulk up on a few essential minerals and supplements.
And what is preventative health care any way? Preventative health care is just what it says. Healthy practices that are used to prevent future illness. It just burns me up that people go to the doctor with an ailment, and they say okay, here's a bottle of possibly habit forming drugs to help reduce symptoms that probably cause a plethora of other issues that in turn need more pills to treat. If people would just get their heads together and realize that if you care for your body before you became ill, you wouldn't need to go to the doctor for so many things.
Don't get me wrong. There are people that have terminal or hereditary illnesses that could not be prevented. However, look at your family's medical history. My family's medical history includes diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. So what's the plan? Daily cardio, low sodium intake and I watch how much my daily sugar intake is. It's that simple. And you can start by taking a few multi-vitamins with your daily healthy meals.
I have a few Vitamins that I couldn't go without, such as my Iron pill. However, there are a few that I would like to suggest that can help improve your overall healthy and well being. These are all Vitamins that you can get at your local store, not over the counter.
L-Lysine - L- Lysine is a Vitamin that is used to help reduce reoccurring cold sores, but I have read that it basically lowers your chances of getting the common cold zero to none (my Mom also takes it and claims the same; she's 50), along with washing your hands regularly.
Any daily Multi Vitamin. Especially those directed at your age/body type. Such as One a Day: Men's and One a Day: Female Teen.
Certain brands of fish oil/krill oil such as Natures Own or other brands. Fish oil and Krill oil have been found to be heart healthy and great for maintaining healthy nails, skin and hair!
As a final note, make sure that you talk with your doctor before taking any new multi-vitamins. Especially if you are on any medication that it may interfere with.
People having been using drugs for hundreds, maybe even thousands of years throughout various cultures and all over the world for spiritual, medicinal and recreational purposes. Nowadays people are still using them, but as I am finding out they have become a little bit more taboo, not to mention the legal boundaries that are restricting the use of recreational drugs. But today I would like to talk about how doctors are fighting for the rights to test some of the most controversial drugs on humans to cure many debilitating and even life threatening illnesses.
Wait, wait, wait... You mean to tell me that... Marijuana CURES CANCER?
Oh yes people. You read that right. There are various studies with supporting proof that there is evidence that suggests that pot can prevent; and with extensive treatment can cure some forms of invasive cancer!
(Not mine, obviously)
There have also been studies that show signs that the cannabinoids that exists in marijuana plants not only can help alleviate cancer patients, but they can also treat a variety of illnesses including but not limited to seizures, people with appetite dysfunctions and as well as people that have chronic pain.
You should read this and do some research yourself!
Some studies have shown that two popular psychedelics,
psilocybin mushrooms and LSD have been showing signs through studies to help cure cluster headaches, an incredibly disabling affliction that causes a person to have migraines that last hours and sometimes every single day.
Now, I'm not saying "Hey! Go out there and do a bunch of drugs!" But I do believe in getting treatment to people who are struggling just to live normally and that are having trouble getting an effective treatments just due to law restrictions.
